The funny thing is that I was super concerned about what to drink and what to eat. I was concerned if I might eat too much or too little…trust me, this is not an issue at all for me! I am actually quite happy because for the FIRST TIME EVER, I am not at all concerned about food. I am not thinking about it. I don’t have any desire to eat. I don’t feel like opening up the refrigerator dozen times to “check” if there is something in there that I might want…nope! I feel like a different person already! Is this what I will feel like now that I have the Lap Band? I hope so, this is GREAT! Usually I am constantly planning, thinking, and basically obsessing about what I am going to eat. It’s almost an oral fixation…and it’s GONE!

I am eating a few bights of soup and tiny sips of water. I remembered the office staff telling me that I would only drink and sip on soups (liquids) for the first 2 weeks so that I don’t overtax my digestive system. I was afraid that I might not be able to do this. It’s easy! I don’t feel hungry, nor do I feel like eating. And trust me, if I’m saying that it’s easy to sip on liquids- anybody can do this!
